Sylvia Sutherland
has promised to remove the parkway from the official plan if the vote is NO and
binding.
Personally I wouldn't trust her to keep her word based on what I have
heard from other councillors. At a recent all candidates meeting she said
she would remove it "only if the no vote was significant" whatever that means.
Sunday Sept 14 - meeting with Richard Taylor speaking was very successful. We have raised several thousand dollars so far in the first few weeks of the campaign. Thanks again for you support.

Hi Everyone, It seems there is a touch of fall in the air these days even though school does not start for another week.
We will be starting our fall fundraising campaign with a kickoff public meeting in early September at the public Library - date to be announced.
In the meantime, I am starting to call all the members of Beyond the Parkway who checked off the donations box on their membership form. I will be calling to ask for donations for this fall's advertising campaign. We hope to buy radio and print advertising in the weeks leading up to the referendum. Advertising has to be paid for in advance so we need to start now.

We have some other ideas such as setting up a booth at market and selling green light bulbs and we are looking for volunteers to help out. Please try to come out to the next public meeting at the library.
